Vad menas med att en perenn är barrotad?
Med en barrotad perenn menas en flerårig växt som tagits upp ur jorden i plantskolan på hösten och sedan kyllagrats under vintern:
- utan jord
- mörkt
- fuktigt
De säljs sedan under vårvintern och våren.
Vad är fördelarna med barrotade perenner?
En stor fördel med denna hantering är att vi slipper skicka tung jord och att plantorna tar liten plats. Bra för miljön – och för din plånbok eftersom växterna blir billigare.
Perenner som fungerar utmärkt att hantera som barrotade har alla ett kraftigt rotsystem, eller knölar, som lagrar energi inför vintervilan.
När paketet med de nakna rötterna når dig ser de inte mycket ut. Men lugn, de sover och har samma livskraft som om de vore planterade. De grönskar snabbt när de kommer i jord och får vatten, värme och ljus.
Plantera och hantera barrotade perenner

Hantera och förvara barrotade perenner
Dröjer det några dagar innan du kan plantera rekommenderar vi att du lägger plantorna i plastpåse i kylskåpet tills det är dags. Om du har möjlighet är mellansteget med krukodling före utplantering en god idé eftersom plantorna får ett försprång jämfört med dem som planteras ut direkt. Våra plantor kommer direkt från vår duktiga odlare i Holland och håller mycket bra kvalitet.
Barrotade perenner i säsong
Vi säljer barrotade perenner i säsong under vårvintern och våren. Håll utkik, då sortimentet varierar. Populära arter som fungerar utmärkt att köpa som barrotade perenner är brudslöja, daglilja, julros, stockros, löjtnantshjärta, pion, spindellilja, iris, jättevallmo, akleja, liljekonvalj, rosenstav och flera prydnadsgräs.
