Frö till melon
Odla dina egna meloner! Melon är en populär och läcker frukt som finns i många olika varianter. Hos oss kan du köpa frö till flera olika sorter, bland annat till populära sorter som mangomelon, pepino, Queen Anne's Pocket, Melon Melba och många olika vattenmeloner. Välj mellan stora och saftiga eller små och söta eller kanske stora och söta?
Var kan man odla melon?
Du kan odla melon på alla ställen där du kan erbjudan en varm plats.
- i växthus
- i uterum
- i upphöjda bäddar eller pallkrage
- i rejäl kruka på balkong och terrass
Odla melon
- Så melon: Melon kan sås direkt på växtplatsen eller förodlas inomhus. När du ska så beror på vart i landet du bor och sorten av melon du odlar. Använd gärna odlingstunnel eller fiberduk för att jämna ut klimatet i början av säsongen.
- Jord vid plantering: Melonplantor trivs i lucker, mullrik och näringsrik jord med god dränering. Förbered platsen väl.
- Vattning och näring: Melonplantor behöver mycket vatten för att trivas. Se till att vattna regelbundet, men undvik kallt vatten. Täck med gräsklip eller växtrens för att behålla fukten i jorden. Det ger också en bra näringsgiva.
- Stötta frukterna: Vissa sorters melon kan bli ganska tunga när de mognar och behöver stöd för att inte släpa i marken. Använd klätterstöd för plantan och t.ex en tunn strumpa som får hålla upp de tunga frukterna när de moognar.
- Skörda: Klippa av frukterna från plantan. Låt dem mogna färdigt på en sval och torr plats innan du äter dem.
