Övervintra i kruka utomhus med isolering och kokosmatta. Vi har många olika krukskydd med och utan foder att välja bland som skyddar dina växter i kruka och nya planteringar utomhus under vintern.
Isolera krukan underifrån och runt om
När man ska övervintra växter som står i kruka utomhus kan det vara klokt att isolera dem både underifrån och runt om med t.ex bubbelplast eller matta av kokosfiber. Markkylan tränger snabbt igenom krukan till rötterna. Det går inte att hindra att jorden fryser när kylan slår till ordentligt, men genom att ställa krukan på en isolerande kokosmatta mildrars effekten av den kyliga marken.
Hur isolerar jag min utekruka?
En isolerad kruka hindrar kyla och vind som annars snabbt gör att jorden i krukan fryser. Isolera sidorna genom att placera en jutesäck runt krukan eller placera i en isolerande kokoskruka. Fyll säcken med torkade löv eller annat material som enkelt får plats och gör att det blir ett extra isolerande lager mellan skyddskrukan och krukan växten står i.
