De tidiga sorters palettblad vi kanske känner igen som krukväxt från fönsterbrädan har ofta tre- eller fyrfärgade blad med en gulvit mitt och olika röda nyanser samt med en lätt tandad bladkant.
Palettblad inomhus och utomhus
Palettblad är mycket användbar, särskilt för att plantera utomhus, där den trivs allra bäst i utekruka, rabatt eller ampel, men det går också bra att odla den på fönsterbrädan. Den är utmärkt som accent- och utfyllandsväxt och blir jättesnygg även som inslag i större rabatter.
Skötseltips för palettblad
Palettblad är väldigt lättskötta och en perfekt nybörjarväxt, men den behöver toppas för att förgrena sig bättre och det är viktigt att ta bort de blomknoppar som visar sig i bladvecken. Om blommorna tillåts slå ut så mattas ofta färgen på palettbladen och växten kan får ett "risigt" utseende.
