Planteringsjord

Det finns flera olika typer av planteringsjord. Den bästa jorden är den som är anpassad för just det du ska använda den till. Tänk alltid igenom vilket behov du har och ta gärna reda på mer fakta om olika slags jord och jordtyper innan du väljer vilken jord du ska köpa. Det är ofta ett misstag att köpa en billig planteringsjord eftersom det är stor risk att den inte håller den kvalitet som man ska kunna kräva av en bra plantjord eller blomjord. När det gäller olika typer av jord får man oftast den kvalitet man betalar för.
Ekologisk och kravmärkt jord
Att välja en bra kvalitet på jorden till dina växter och planteringar lönar sig alltid. Om det inte är en bra planteringsjord är det möjligt att växterna inte utvecklas så bra som de skulle göra i en plantjord av bra kvalitet. Det finns ekologisk, kravcertifierad planteringsjord och plantjord som är naturgödslad.
Vilken jord ska jag ha inomhus?
När du planterar utomhus ska du välja en annan jord än om du planterar inomhus. Inomhus passar blomjord bäst om du ska plantera dina krukväxter men om du ska förodla fröer och sticklingar för sommarens odlingar rekommenderas en planteringsjord också inomhus. Blomjord finns med och utan tillsatta lecakulor som är bra för att göra jorden mer lucker och genomsläpplig, men blomjord och planteringsjord av bra kvalitet har ofta just denna egenskap även utan lecakulor. Är du mer erfaren kan du kombinera din egen blomjord där du utgår ifrån en bra blomjord för växter inomhus och själv tillsätter lecakulor, kokos, perlit, vermikulit eller annat odlingsmedia som till exempel kan bidra till att hålla kvar mer fukt samtidigt som jorden andas och ventileras bra.
Vilken jord ska jag ha utomhus?
Utomhus väljer du plantjord beroende av vad du ska göra. Dressjord för att förbättra gräsmattan, rosjord när du ska plantera rosor, rhododendronjord till rhododendron och rabattjord när du ska anlägga eller jordförbättra i rabatten. Ett bra val är också att använda barkmull för jordförbättring.
