Variant av persilja där man i första hand använder roten. Roten är tjock, påminner om en vit morot och användas som palsternacka. De släta, gröna bladen kan också används.
Kan sås både sent på hösten, för övervintring i mildare delar av Sverige, eller tidigt på våren.
Skörda blad efterhand och rötter sent på hösten.
Trivs på lucker, näringsrik, djupgrävd och mullrik jord. På lerjord blir rötterna greniga. Vattna vid torka.
Direktsådd: Vattna såfåran före sådd. Håll sådden fuktig tills fröna grott.
Blötlägg fröna 2-3 dygn före sådd så gror de snabbare.
Täck med fiberduk mot morotsfluga.
