Silverlök är en extra mild matlök med en härlig arom. Den är snabbväxande och passar bra rå i sallader, till hamburgare och andra maträtter.
Direktsås i södra Sverige, bör förodlas för att ge normalstora lökar i övriga landet.
Smålökar kan användas som syltlök. Trivs i mullrik, gärna kalkhaltig jord. Vattna vid torka för bättre skörd. Täck med fiberduk mot lökflugan.
Förodling: Så glest i fuktad såjord, ställ i rumstemp. Efter uppkomst, ljust och svalt. Utplantera efter sista frost.
Direktsådd: Tidig när jorden går att bruka-maj. Vattna såfåran före sådd.
Håll sådden fuktig tills fröna grott.
